AML Policy
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Policy
AML controls are intended to reduce the risk of a casino or sportsbook account being used for money laundering, fraud or other financial crime. This AML Policy outlines the measures implemented to detect, prevent, and report suspicious activities.
This policy applies to account activity, identity checks, payment review and other controls connected with the destination platform. It should be read together with the platform's own terms, privacy policy and account rules.
Know Your Customer (KYC) Procedures
BetZillo may use Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures to verify the identity of its users. These procedures are essential for preventing fraud, identity theft, and money laundering. The following KYC measures may be implemented:
- Identity Verification: Users may be required to provide documentation to verify their identity, such as a government-issued photo ID (e.g., passport, driver's license) and proof of address (e.g., utility bill, bank statement).
- Source of Funds Verification: In certain circumstances, users may be asked to provide information regarding the source of funds used for betting activities. This may include bank statements, pay stubs, or other relevant documentation.
- Ongoing Monitoring: Account activity may be monitored for suspicious activity, and additional information or documentation may be requested where needed.
Failure to comply with KYC requests may result in account restrictions, suspension, or closure.
Account Registration and Information Accuracy
Users are required to provide accurate and complete information during the account registration process. This includes, but is not limited to, name, address, date of birth, and contact details. Providing false or misleading information is a violation of BetZillo's terms and conditions and may result in account termination.
Users are responsible for maintaining the accuracy of their account information and promptly updating any changes. This includes changes to address, contact details, and payment information.
The creation of duplicate or misleading accounts is strictly prohibited. The platform may reserve the right to merge or terminate any duplicate accounts.
Payment Method Verification
Players are expected to use payment methods that belong to them and are registered in their name. The use of third-party payment methods may be prohibited or subject to additional review.
Verification of payment methods may be requested to ensure that they are legitimately owned and used by the account holder. This may involve providing documentation such as bank statements or credit card statements.
Deposits and withdrawals may be subject to review to ensure compliance with AML regulations and to prevent fraudulent activity. The platform may reserve the right to delay or reject transactions if there are concerns about the legitimacy of the payment method or the source of funds.
Transaction Monitoring and Analysis
Transaction activity may be monitored to detect unusual or suspicious payment patterns. Review controls may consider factors including:
- Transaction Size: Monitoring for unusually large or frequent transactions.
- Transaction Frequency: Identifying accounts with unusually high transaction volumes.
- Payment Patterns: Detecting irregular or inconsistent payment patterns.
- Geographical Anomalies: Identifying transactions originating from high-risk jurisdictions.
Any activity that deviates from normal account usage or raises suspicion may be flagged for further review.
Reporting Suspicious Activity
Suspicious activity may be escalated or reported where required by applicable rules, platform policy or payment controls. This includes, but is not limited to, transactions that are suspected of being related to money laundering, terrorist financing, or other financial crimes.
Users are encouraged to report suspicious account or payment activity through the support channel available on the destination platform.
Reports of suspicious activity may be reviewed under the platform's account, payment and security procedures.
Account Restrictions and Reviews
The platform may reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that are suspected of being involved in money laundering or other financial crimes. Account restrictions may include:
- Transaction Limits: Limiting deposits, withdrawals or transfers while a review is active.
- Account Holds: Temporarily restricting account functions until requested information is provided.
- Account Suspension: Temporarily suspending account access.
- Account Closure: Permanently terminating account access.
Accounts may also be subject to review if there are concerns about the legitimacy of the account holder or the source of funds. During a review, some account actions may be delayed until the requested information is checked.
Transaction Processing and Verification
Transaction processing may be delayed where identity, payment ownership or source-of-funds checks are required. Additional verification may be requested for large, unusual or inconsistent transactions.
Withdrawals will only be processed to payment methods that are registered in the account holder's name. Withdrawals to third-party accounts are strictly prohibited.
The platform may reserve the right to request additional documentation to verify the identity of the account holder and the source of funds before processing a withdrawal.
AML Policy Updates
This AML Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in platform procedures, payment controls or applicable requirements. Users are responsible for reviewing the AML Policy regularly to ensure they are aware of any updates.
Any changes to the AML Policy will be posted on the BetZillo website. Continued use of the BetZillo platform after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated AML Policy.
Consequences of Non-Compliance
Failure to comply with BetZillo's AML Policy may result in serious consequences, including:
- Account restrictions, suspension, or closure.
- Forfeiture of funds.
- Escalation or reporting where required by applicable rules or payment controls.
- Legal action.
AML controls may include cooperation with payment providers, verification partners or competent authorities where required. Users are expected to cooperate fully with any investigations or inquiries.
